Baba Ramdev, a yoga guru, has unveiled two medicines he claimed work for the deadly coronavirus. While unveiling Coronil and Swasari on Tuesday, June 23, he said the drugs are not immunity boosters but COVID-19 cure, Hindustan Times reports.
Legit.ng gathers that Ramdev said the medicines were prepared by the combined efforts of Patanjali Research Centre and NIMS. He said: “We are launching Covid medicines Coronil and Swasari today. We conducted two trials of these, first clinical controlled study, which took place in Delhi, Ahmedabad, among many other cities. Under this 280 patients were included and 100 per cent of those recovered. After this the all-important clinical control trial was conducted.” He added that the drugs showed “100 per cent recovery rate within 3-7 days”.

Legit.ng previously reported that Nigerian universities’ scientists under the aegis of COVID-19 Research Group discovered COVID-19 vaccine. The scientists made the disclosure on Friday, June 19, saying the vaccine was being developed locally in Africa for Africans but would also work for other continents when unveiled. Coronil and Swasari medicines were launched on Tuesday, June 22.
The leader of the team, Dr Oladipo Kolawole, said it would take a minimum of 18 months for the vaccine to be unveiled to the public.
