A generous customer put smiles on the faces of employees at Souk Mediterranean Kitchen in Ohio, United States, after he left a huge tip behind when he was done eating.
In the spirit of Christmas, the man who craved anonymity left a $5,600 (N2,209,006.80) tip for the entire employees to split amongst themselves on Saturday, December 12.
The money was split among the twenty-eight employees, with each of them getting $200 (N78,893.10) – including those who were off duty that day.
Moussa Salloukh, the restaurant owner expressed gratitude to the kind man, saying the gesture was huge.
”There was a lot of tears, I’m tearing up now talking about it. Your restaurant staff becomes your family and everyone cares about each other. I’ve been staying out of the kitchen to give employees hours to get through and put gifts under the tree for their kids, so this was so huge for us,” he said.
