A British Counselor and Parenting Coach, Jane Evans has said that parents must always seek consent from their babies before changing their diapers.
In a viral video which resurfaced on social media, the advisor could be seen speaking during an interview on Good Morning Britain programme.
According to Jane, you have to start teaching children about consent as early as you can.
She mentioned that before you change your baby’s nappy, you could just say; “hey (your baby’s name), I need to change your nappy now to make you comfortable.”
TV host, Piers Morgan, is then seen asking, “how do you communicate this with your three-month-old and expect an answer?”
In response, Jane said; “of course, a three-month-old baby can’t speak, but babies communicate all the time and you can see it in their body energy.”
