A Nigerian scientist identified as Dr. Ugochukwu Anieto has made a groundbreaking discovery in the field of medicine.
The Instructional Associate Professor at College of Science Higher Education Centre McAllen in Texas, USA has discovered an antibiotics for the treatment of drug resistant infections.
Dr Anieto named the drug Anietocin after his family name. It is currently undergoing laboratory trials in the US.
His cousin, Ozii Anieto celebrated him on microblogging site, Twitter, as he shared a leaflet of the research publication from the Texas A&M University.
”My cousin, Dr. Ugo Anieto discovered an antibiotic for drug resistant infections. He named it ANIETOCIN – after my family name.
