Elections Did not Hold in some wards in Oru West and Ohaji-Egbema LGA Yet Results Came from Those Areas: Electoral officers Say as They Protest INEC Result (video)
Electoral officers in Imo state are questioning how results were manufactured in areas where elections did not hold in the state.
According to the electoral officers, elections did not hold in some wards in Oru West and Ohaji-Egbema LGA of the state yet results were coming from these areas.
They said electoral materials did not arrive in these areas and voters left without voting.
The electoral officers wondered from where the electoral body, INEC, got the results that they announced in the areas.
The Imo electoral officers took to the streets to protest the INEC results.see
“I have 12 polling units, no election was conducted in any of them,” one electoral officer said during the protest.
Meanwhile, the Federal Representative representing Oguta/Ohaji-Egbema/Oru West constituency, Hon. Kingsley Uju said the election process was full of irregularities and he demanded the cancellation of the election in his constituency.
Hon. Uju also alleged a threat to his life and family members by the state government.
