Suspected Cultists Kill Cross River University Student on Campus ( video)
A 400-level student of Cross River State University (CRUTECH) has been shot dead by gunmen at the Calabar campus of the school.
The Public Relations Officer of the institution, Mr Onen Onen, confirmed the incident, which happened on Thursday, Feb. 9.

“A student was shot. The VC will issue a statement about it,” he said.
According to students of the school, the gunmen drove into the school and went straight to the Faculty of Engineering where the victim was chatting with his friends.
Upon sighting them, the victim stood up and ran but some of the gunmen exited the car and ran after him.
They shot at him and when he fell, they went closer and shot again until they were sure he was dead.
The gunmen took the victim’s bag, went into their vehicle and drove off.
Some students said they were defending their project at the time the gun attack happened and it left them shaken.
