A Nigerian man has been captured on tape breaking free from Indian police officers after he was arrested during a drug raid in Navi Mumbai.
In a video making the rounds online, the man identified as Julius Anthony Onyekachukwu was being whisked away by officers when he saw an opportunity to escape and he took it without hesitation.

The arrest of the 44-year-old Nigerian national from the Sector 24 area of Ulwe on Friday, October 6, 2023 was part of a major crackdown on drugs.
Navi Mumbai police revealed that it seized drugs worth ₹84.8 lakh as well as mobile phones, digital weighing tools and other materials to be used for selling the contraband.
In the trending video, the accused Nigerian was seen being held by a policeman. As soon as they start walking towards the police van, Onyekachukwu somehow frees himself from the cop’s grip and quickly takes to his heels.
The police officers immediately engaged him in a hot pursuit but one of them fell on the ground during his attempt, while others scattered in different directions in a bid to catch the suspect.
However, there are no reports updating the public about whether the police successfully nabbed the Nigerian national.
