Nir Am is one of the few communities which managed to repel Hamas.

The 25-year-old heard explosions early on Saturday when Hamas launched their unprecedented attack and rushed to distribute guns among the 12-member security teams.

She then placed the squad of kibbutzniks in strategic positions across the Nir Am settlement to ambush any approaching member of Hamas.

Lieberman killed five terrorists herself, while the other soldiers killed at least 20 others in just a four hour period.

‘It was amazing, my husband was part of the standby unit that worked to prevent more casualties,’ Ilit Paz told Israel Hayom.

‘They heard the shots and made contact on their own with other members of the standby unit and with Inbal — and they understood that they were told to be on standby

‘But Inbal made a decision not to wait and be jumped operationally. In fact, the fact that they did it early prevented dozens of casualties.’

The Maariv Daily aso reported her heroism will go down in Israeli lore ‘for generations’.

It read: ‘When it’s all over, this woman will receive the Israel Prize.

‘The story of her heroism is a story that will go down in Israeli lore for generations.

The war, which has claimed at least 2,100 lives on both sides, is only expected to escalate as Israel remains determined to crush the militant group.

In Israel, at least 1,200 have been killed, while officials in Gaza say 900 people have been killed.

At least 140 Palestinian children have been killed by the Israeli military as they launched an offensive on Gaza over the weekend, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

Israeli forces vowed to turn the Gaza Strip into ‘rubble’ following the surprise attack by Hamas on October 7 and have launched retaliatory strikes in over 200 locations.

Israeli soldiers have been going from from house to house to remove the dead on Tuesday.

‘You see the babies, the mothers, the fathers, in their bedrooms, in their protection rooms and how the terrorist kills them,’ said Israeli Major General Itai Veruv, escorting journalists at the scene.

‘It’s not a war, it’s not a battlefield. It’s a massacre. It’s something we used to imagine from our grandfathers, grandmothers in the pogrom in Europe and other places.’
